CAMEROON - AUSTRALIA FRIENDSHIP SOCIETY
The society has been formed to enable people from Cameroon and Australia,
and indeed from every country in the world to explore different cultures.
Cameroon has a mix of over 200 tribal groups, and many local languages.
With official languages of French and English, prior occupation by the
colonial powers of Germany, France, and partially by England, Cameroon
has a fascinating history and diversity of culture.
It is home to all the major animals of Africa, beautiful rainforests,
and even an active volcano. Mt. Cameroon is one of the highest mountains
in West Africa at 4,100 metres, and erupted in April 1999, for the sixth time
this century. For more information on Cameroon, go to ABOUT
CAMEROON.
The society aspires to encourage exchanges of information, ideas, encourage
ongoing friendships, travel and goodwill.
