Kumba is a city of about 1.4 million in the English speaking region of Cameroon.
The project is virtually completed and in operation. The owner is a very well respected businessman, and well known to the consulate. The difficulty in that part of the world, is obtaining finance for proven projects owned by such operators. The owner has had to pay cash for the entire project, and now needs further capital to take advantage of the proven trade. He has had to carpet and furnish the units in groups of ten. The second stage includes completion of the furnishing, development of a conference centre, and recreation facilities, including a pool and tennis courts.
The owner is prepared to offer a partnership, with the capital being also covered by an interest payment above the partnership profit, and he will provide mortgage security.
The owner has also commenced planting a citrus orchard. The price obtained for citrus fruit in Cameroon is extraordinary. This would provide a very profitable secondary business, which would enhance the partnership’s returns.

LONG ESTABLISHED PALM OIL BUSINESS COVERING PLANTATIONS, REFINERY, AND EXPORT CONTRACTS FOR ALL PRODUCTION.
A CONTROLLING INTEREST IS NOW AVAILABLE, IN A PARTNERSHIP OF BUSINESSMEN. THE GOVERNMENT OF CAMEROON WILL RETAIN AN INTEREST. ADDITIONAL PRODUCTION INCLUDES 2.40 HECTARES OF RUBBER.
CURRENT PRODUCTION IS FULLY SOLD UNDER EXISTING CONTRACTS, AND THE PROJECT REQUIRES EXPANSION AND UPGRADING.
This project is long established, and in a market with a production shortfall around the world. Cameroon is ideally placed to export to both the African continent, and Europe. The world shortfall of palm oil is such that the operation could be increased tenfold and have a ready market for the palm oil. A Chinese company has offered to take the current annual production, on a MONTHLY basis if further plantings make this possible.
The business urgently needs expanding, with a new technology refinery, and substantially increased planting of new trees. The company also needs to be fully restructured at management, and staff level. The current employee level cannot be sustained.
The plantations are in the beautiful Kribi area, close to the Atlantic coast. The main palm oil refinery is located at Limbe, from where the oil is exported.
