A. HARDWOODS Cameroon has some of the best hardwoods in the world,
and the industry is well controlled both from a business, and environmental
perspective. Information can be obtained from the Sydney Consulate Trade
Department.
Access to timber concessions can be arranged for large operators.
B. FORESTRY EQUIPMENT From July, 1999, new legislation requires that most timber exported be processed (sawn). This has created a huge demand for sawmills, and associated equipment. Suppliers can post their interest in providing equipment by posting their details via current trade inquiries - see the timber industry section.
